Generally speaking, as an affiliate, it's not your job to "sell" a product. Your job is to get a prospect interested enough in the product to click through to the merchant site, where the merchant will do the selling.

Merchants have usually (hopefully!) designed their sales copy to answer all questions a prospect might have, counter all objections they might have, and convert as many of these prospects to sales as possible.

Sometimes, however, you might find an affiliate product where the merchant has created a good product and a good affiliate program, but the sales page itself is simply not up to scratch. In this case all your efforts to send traffic to the merchant would be undone by a poorly converting sales page.

In situations like this you should think about writing your own pre-sell piece. You can use this to get your prospects in the "yes" frame of mind before they click through to the merchant site. You could also contact the merchant and ask for a link to their buy button, so that you can send your visitors directly to the purchase page and bypass the merchant's sales page. It will seem to your visitors as if they're purchasing directly from your website.

Aweber Email List Basic Information Set Up

Setting up an email list is very easy to do. However its just as easy to overlook these few factors when getting started... if overlooked is the right word. You just won't know about them until you send and check your first email.

Domains for your email address. Why? Getting past spam filters and junk folders. Yes, your autoresponder is the sender, with all of its reputaition and credibility, but how many Aweber sent emails are in your junk folder.

Even though, just to be fair, there are infinitey more from unknown senders and less reputable autoresponder companies.

And your list name can only be 15 characters long

When you send out mail, the First thing that will shown is where it came from. Think of this as your mails 'Title', but when using an autoresponder, like Aweber, this field is populated with whatever you put in your basic information under "from" name. This could be the reason that many emails you get, especially junk mails, only show the persons name. Spam junk filters or not, this is ofcourse read by whoever you sent the email to. What kind of impression do you want to make on them.

The first thing your reader will see is see what's in the 'From' box of your email list info.

Be aware that whatever you named your email list will be seen here. So basically what I mean by this is that your Email list name is not confidential.
